Postgraduate Studies


 

Hi everyone! Today I`ll write about a topic that honestly is so hard to me just imagine it, I`m talking about postgraduate studies.

As you know, now I`m studying architecture and I love it, but I had never thought if I want to keep studying after get the degree. Anyway, if I should choose, urbanism is the most interesting area for me.  

Sincerely, I don`t know yet so much as I want of the subject, but they are some topics that always caught my attention like the transport, the importance and distribution of green areas across the city, or quality of public space, because are things that literally affect to all of us in our routine.

Also, I think that all of these are so interesting topics  to analyze in Santiago that is where I lived all my life, because it is an unusually unequal city that really need to be fixed, and that is one of the reasons that cheer me up to study and know more this.

As I said, I lived all my life in Santiago, and I think that a postgraduate study would be such a good opportunity to try new experiences, so I really like the idea of study far away from Chile. I know that Barcelona is a wonderful place to learn about urbanism, and they have so much Incredibles buildings, so probably that would be my first option thinking on a postgraduate.

    You are right, Santiago needs a rethinking of the organization of public spaces.

My future job

 Hi everyone! In this second post I`ll write about what I expect to do in the future like an arquitect 😁 First of all, I want to say that I really really like the discipline of arquitecture, the way that it materialize an artistic intention like something functional and very needed by the people and cities, is just incredible.   I believe in architecture like a way of promote the culture and bring it to the people. That is definitely what I want to do like an architect because our actual society had the problem of place the access to culture like a privilege and not a common reality. Not everyone has the easiness of enjoy a museum, a library or an art gallery so we should find the way to make it possible.  Also I always want to teach in the future, because I see it like a possibility of make that more people could enjoy this so much as I do 😊 In addition, study this is so stressing when you have an empathyless teacher, and that is maybe one of the worst thing...
